The Subaru Tradition of Giving Back and Sharing the Love Continues in the Pittsburgh Area

In 2008, the Subaru car company started a unique tradition of allowing people who purchase or lease one of their new models, the option of choosing a charity from among a short list, to receive a generous donation of 250 dollars. Here at Bowser Subaru, we're proud to take part in this annual tradition of giving back to our customers and our community.

Since it first started, the Subaru "Share the Love" event has raised more than 94 million dollars for various charities. After the current, 2017 campaign, Subaru estimates this amount will rise to more than 115 million dollars.

Between now and the end of the month, any customer who visits us in Pleasant Hills, and agrees to purchase or lease a new Subaru, gets a chance to choose a charity for Subaru to donate to. There are four national charities that Subaru has chosen as options for this year's event:

  • Meals on Wheels America
  • Make A Wish
  • The National Park Foundation
  • The ASPCA

Plus, here's the best part, Subaru has also allowed us here at Bowser Subaru to choose a local charity of our own to add to the list of options. That means, any Pittsburgh-area driver who gets a new Subaru with us before January 2, 2018, gets the option of choosing the Stanley M. Marks, M.D., Endowed Research Fund as the recipient of their donation.

The Stanley M. Marks, M.D., Endowed Research Fund is important to us here at Bowser Subaru, because they allow for a steady future of clinical cancer research at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute and the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. The endowed group provides support to researchers who are trying to develop new cancer treatments in western Pennsylvania, and around the world.

Share Your Love in Pleasant Hills

If you're in the market for a new Subaru, and you've been waiting for the perfect time to shop for one, please consider stopping by Bowser Subaru before January 2, 2018, and helping us help out one of the amazing charities on this year's list of Subaru Share the Love recipients.
